The Week in Review-

A solid week of training as we made our way over to the Baseball outfields. Our Grass training fields are currently being seeded with winter Rye and we need to be off of them till after the Thanksgiving break to give the grass a chance to take root and hold up during the Soccer season. Last week saw the Lady Rangers have a great focus on fitness as we continue preparing for the season.

Decisions Coming

We only have 10 school days left before the start of the season.

We will be having player meetings throughout the week to discuss team placement.

As a coach this is the least enjoyable part of the profession.

Lady Rangers & Parents- please keep the following things in mind as we go through this week-

  1. No one is being Cut from the Soccer Program.

    1. Unfortunately we have roster sizes which means we only have a certain number of players who will receive jerseys.

    2. Everyone has a role & place in this program.

    3. Everyone earns a PE credit.

    4. Everyone contributes to the Culture and Success of the program.

    5. Everyone gets to be a part of something bigger than oneself.

    6. Everyone has something to learn & something to contribute to the program.

  2. Everyday is an Opportunity

    1. 3 Days on Ranger to show out and show up.

    2. Make an impression

    3. Have a Positive Impact on the game.

    4. Do everything you can possibly do.

      1. Be Positive

      2. Be vocal

      3. Be first on the field and last to leave

      4. Give Great Effort

      5. Be a Great Teammate

      6. Be Proud of who you are and the effort you give

      7. Keep the Standards High

The Life lessons learned in soccer and the memories made, and the bonds you create as a member of Lady Ranger Soccer will last a lifetime.

Media Day-

Media Day will be on Monday, November 17th.

JV pictures will be taken during the Period,

Varsity Pictures will be taken at the end of the period and then roll over to after school.

Please keep this in mind if you have work or Club Conflicts on Monday. I estimate that we will finish sometime around 4:30-5:00.

FAQ- Do I still take Media Day Photos if I'm not on JV or Varsity? YES!

Everyone will take Media Day Pictures. Everyone will get a Banner.

Group Fund

We have started our last fundraiser of the year and in just 3 days have already reached about 30% of our Financial goal. Lady Rangers & Parents this is our largest fundraiser of the year.

The funds we receive from this fundraiser go towards;

  1. Our Banquet

  2. Team Awards

  3. Senior Night

  4. Teacher Appreciation Shirts

  5. Scholarships

  6. Various Team Expenses that arise.

We ask that Every Lady Ranger please sign up and enter 25 contacts who are potential donors, and then send those contacts a text message.

That's it. That's all there is to it. We do ask that parents please assist your Lady Ranger in coming up with 25 contacts, who would be potential donors. If we receive a modest $5-$10 dollar donation from each contact we will absolutely SMASH our previous fundraisers.

Your help with this fundraiser is so vital and so appreciated.

And Finally

Some of you may already know this but for the next month I will be helping out with Boys Freshmen Basketball. One of the Freshmen coaches is unable to coach right now, and the other is still in football (as our Boys qualified for the Playoffs). So I am helping them out until football is over. It should have minimal impact on our season and preparations, however, if I have to leave practice early due to travel for basketball games, I know that our culture, our team, and our standards will not drop, because we have some big goals and big plans for this season, and some great leaders who will continue to guide this group.

It is absolutely a pleasure being a part of this program, and I know great things are just around the corner.

10 more School Days until the greatest time of the year.

Let's Go Lady Rangers!

(P.S. Make sure you are watching the weather daily. Probably a pretty good thing you already received your sweatshirts and red jackets. Brrrr)
