Week in Review
Last week was the official Kickoff to our season and what a week it was. The Lady Rangers traveled to Kerrville on Friday night where they took on Tivy HS and San Antonio Roosevelt.
The weather was a little dreary on the drive down but what a cool stadium and experience for our Lady Rangers. Those Views - - -WOW!
It was really good to compete against someone other than our own as the Lady Rangers played well against both teams with quite a few opportunities being had by our offense. Some great goals by Lily and Leah in the Varsity scrimmages that are sure to set the foundation for our season.
Then on Saturday, What a Day! The weather turned out to be beautiful and we could not have asked for a better Blue Santa Kickoff! As a way to celebrate our upcoming season and serve our LISD community, we hosted the Blue Santa Kickoff where we collected toy donations for families in our community. Vandegrift, Cedar Park, Leander, Glenn, Rouse, Stony Point, Cedar Ridge, and our newest neighbor Legacy Ranch all came together to enjoy a day of play while supporting the Blue Santa initiative. I was overwhelmed with our giving as we were able to collect over 700 toys for families in need this Christmas season. Such an amazing job by these teams and these young ladies. It will have a far greater impact than any of us will ever know and that is something we can all be very proud of.
The Week Ahead-
This week we look to close out our Preseason (Phase 2) with scrimmages versus Rouse and Leander before our Christmas break.
Monday
A Day Red Ranger 2- 4:30 pm / Boys play vs Hendrickson so we will go to Ranger & end in Weight Room/Film Room 4-4:30
Tuesday
Scrimmage at Rouse- JV bus will leave at 4:15 pm- Varsity bus will leave at 5:00 pm - White Unis
Wednesday
A Day - Grey WR/Ranger 2-4:30
Thursday
Festive Day- Team time 2-3:30 (No after school practice)
Friday (early release)
Scrimmage vs Leander - JV 2:00 pm / Varsity 3:30 pm Red Uniforms

Booster Club
We are currently closing in on the last week of our largest and most important fundraiser of the year. This fundraiser pays for our Banquet, Awards, HUDL Subscription and much needed equipment, like nets and goal wheels. We are off to a good start but we are really lagging behind where we were this time last year. If you have already donated, Thank you thank you thank you. If you have not done so already, please consider supporting Lady Ranger Soccer. Any and All support is much appreciated.
Please take the time to look over your contacts and share them with your Lady Rangers so that we are able to raise enough funds to meet our goals for this season.
And Finally-
We have some Amazing Lady Rangers- While every player in the program is at different skill level and different players have different individual goals, the one thing that is certain is that there is a pride and sense of belonging that each of them has when representing Vista Ridge and Lady Ranger Soccer. As Coaches, Educators, Parents, and Supporters of these amazing young ladies, let's continue to do our part to support them. The UIL has asked that we send out a reminder to all supporters of High School Athletics and Extra Curricular activities. The Texas Way is a collaborative campaign initiated by THSCA, THSADA, and 2Words, and endorsed by coaches and officials’ organizations across the state, including TGCA, TABC, TASCO, THSBCA, TSMCA, TASO, and THSBOA. Our Season is underway. The games are coming fast. We look forward to many great memories and seeing everyone in the stands this season.
