Week in Review -

Well we made it through the first week of school and some pretty cool things happened this past week.

  • Cross Country Wilco Relays-

    • Amaris, Liza, Kinsley, and Valeria competed very well with a few medals being awarded. Awesome having dual sport athletes compete and represent the Ridge.

  • Alumni Update- 2025 Graduate Lily Vandiver started for the University of North Texas in their Season Debut. #VRTWD

And Lastly our 2026 Seniors completed our Lady Ranger Bulletin Board and took part in the Vista Ridge Tradition of "Senior Sunrise". We know this is going to be an Amazing year for our Lady Ranger Seniors.

The Week Ahead-

Reminder that we begin working out this week.

  1. Red Shirts on A days, Black Shirts on B days, Black Shorts everyday, Shin Guards on A days. (Failure to be properly equipped will result in extra conditioning, and ball work on the side)

  2. Bring Running Shoes, Soccer Shoes, and Water Bottle EVERYDAY.

  3. Be Flexible- Due to the time of year and time of day for our Soccer Class, we may be restricted from going outside due to LISD permissible heat guidelines. We will still workout on Heat restriction days. Sometimes it will be Futsal, sometimes weight room, sometimes ball work in the Mall. Plan to work out everyday.

  4. Immediately at the end of 3/7th period & B lunch go to the locker room, dress out, and be in the Big Study Hall by 2:10 pm.

  5. Rankone Forms- Please insure that all forms are completed and submitted. Failure to be cleared means failure to participate.

Rally at the Ridge- Wednesday August 20th

This is one of the best experiences of the year. A Community Pep Rally to kick off the year with the entire athletics, dance, cheer, and band performing and participating. I'm fully aware sometimes there are work related or club practices that might be scheduled. If possible see if you can work around those obligations. You can work the rest of your life, and you have practice 3 or 4 times per week, but you only get to have this experience 3 or 4 times in your life. It really is a core high school memory, and we would love for Everyone to participate.

(And you can leave after we Walk)

We are still in need of about 50 plastic hangars. Thank you Sarah Gorlick for your donation.

And Finally-

A quick thought from Coach as we start this season tomorrow.

  • Do not let one day define you. You will have good days and bad days. But the most important thing is to control the things you can control. Your Attitude and your effort.

  • Bring a positive attitude to training each and every day.

  • Bring great effort (even when you don't "FEEL" like it.

  • Doing those two things will set you a part. Those are the things coaches, employers, and parents value the most.

It's going to be a Great year. Remember, Earned - Not Given!

Let's Go Lady Rangers!
