The Week in Review-
This past week saw a full slate of games & was a perfect example of why TX HS Soccer is invigorating and exciting.
Tuesday the Lady Rangers were on the road to take on the #3 State Ranked Round Rock Dragons.
In a closely contested JV Match, our Lady Rangers came up just short and lost 1-0 but their play on the field and in goal were truly outstanding. A wonderful performance by our JV Lady Rangers.
In the Varsity Match, the Lady Rangers fell to Round Rock in which the score line was not reflective of the match being played. Although the score was a little lopsided, the competitive play on the pitch was a performance to be proud of and absolutely no reason to hang one's head.
Friday saw the Lady Rangers host the Tigers of Stony Point.
JV won their match 3-0, while Varsity had a bounce back performance and took care of the Tigers 6-1 with Goals by Bristol x2, Ava x2, Izzy, and Liza with assists by Leah, and Izzy.
A good way to end the week as we prepare for another upcoming match versus State ranked Vandegrift on Tuesday.
Additionally, our JV Lady Rangers participated in the inaugural Liberty Hill JV classic, where they took home the Tournament's Consolation Championship on Saturday with a 4-0 victory over hosts Legacy Ranch.

And Finally
As you can see, our Central Texas area is seriously loaded with soccer talent. Our District has some amazing teams, some excellent coaches, and some big goals for this season. And even though we aren't on this list (yet) we have just as much reason to believe that we deserve to be there because this is an excellent team that has the potential to make a deep run in the playoffs. Nothing is guaranteed. In fact Nothing is going to be given to us. We must take it one day, one training, one game at a time. Over the course of 365 days we will only have 21-27 games in a season. Therefore 94% of our time is spent preparing for the 6% that are games. We must find a way to make every training count as we prepare for each and every game. It's the toughest district in the State and every game will present a different set of challenges that we have to figure out. Therefore, preparation will be key for us to accomplish our goals this season.
Remember our Future is shaped by the Habits we repeat, not just the Goals we set. Because a Goal without habits and actions, is nothing more than a dream.
We are more than Dreamers. We are what we work to be. Champions!
Let's Go Lady Rangers!
