The Week in Review
This week was the start of District play as the Lady Rangers hosted Round Rock on Tuesday night, and then travelled to Stony Point on Friday. The Lady Rangers dropped their JV & Varsity openers to Round Rock on Tuesday as the Lady Dragons were hitting on all cylinders. The Lady Rangers competed well but were unable to come up with enough plays to change the outcome of the contests.
On Friday the Lady Rangers traveled to Stony Point where they came away with results in both the JV and Varsity games. JV tied 1-1, but had a ton of chances late in the 2nd half. Unfortunately they didn't find the back of the net and walked away splitting the points.
The Varsity match up saw two playoff teams from a year ago, square off in a tightly contested match. Both teams, having come off of losses were looking for a Big 3 points early in the District race. The Lady Rangers scored a 2nd half Goalazo by Bristol Holbrook and were able to hold on to take the 3 points.
The Week Ahead
Monday- MLK/Inauguration Day - No School. Varsity Only Practice 11 am-1 pm.
Tuesday- Vs. Vandegrift - Red/ JV 5:30/ Varsity 7:30
Wednesday- Grey / Grass- Film 2:00-3:30
Thursday - Ranger Red 2:00-4:30
Friday- Vs. Ellison- Black/ JV 5:30/ Varsity 7:30
WEATHER UPDATES-
As everyone is aware- we are under a Winter Storm Advisory beginning Monday Night at 6 pm -Tuesday Night at 6 pm.
This could and will most likely impact Tuesday's Game with Vandegrift. The Athletic Administration will make a determination regarding weather and playing conditions.
At this time, NO DECISIONS about Tuesday's game have been made.
If the game is postponed, per UIL policy, it will be made up on the next available playing date and would be a Varsity only game.
As soon as we know or are provided any information on cancellations or schedule changes, we will communicate that information to you through our SportsYou app and other social media channels.
Due to the uncertainty of Tuesday's Game we are cancelling the GameDay meal orders for Tuesday. If an order has already been placed then a refund will be issued. In the event we play on Tuesday, alternative pregame meal arrangements will be made and that information will be sent out in SportsYou as well.

Huge game for the Lady Rangers this week as our District Bye falls on Friday, meaning we only have a 1 game to earn District points this week. Friday's game versus Ellison is a Non District game we filled our bye date with in order to have a complete schedule for this season.
It's a big Rivalry Week and with the uncertainty of changes due to weather, we need to stay focused but flexible. It's going to be a great week no matter what Mother Nature has in store.
