PARENTS: Please Click on the RSVP link to let us know how many in your family will be attending. You Do not need to include your Lady Ranger. Please just provide number of parents, siblings, or guests who will be attending. This will better help our Booster Club to provide a head count for the venue and determine cost of tickets if necessary.
Off Season is Starting:
We will officially start our Off Season Training Program April 3. I am super excited about this off season, as our focus will be on developing Team Culture and Chemistry for next year and becoming the best possible athletes we can become.
Our off season program was designed by Oneeightyathletics. You can see some of their videos on Youtube but what I am most excited about this program is that it is a Soccer Specific Program designed specifically for Female Soccer Players. All of the trainings, exercises, weights and routines are designed specifically for female soccer players and are aimed at improving overall strength and quickness, while also focusing on exercises that target injury prevention of the knees and ankles in female athletes.
Here is a preview of the entire 12 week program. Elite Female Soccer Performance
Final Thoughts from Coach
As the first week of the State Playoffs concluded we saw;
Cedar Park, Lake Travis, Eastview, Liberty Hill, Hutto, Alamo Heights, Midway, Leander, College Park, Smithson Valley, Clear Creek, Weiss, Stony Point, Westwood, Vandegrift, and Round Rock all compete this past week. The Only teams we played this year that did not make the playoffs were Pflugerville, Rudder, Cedar Ridge, McNeil, and Manor.
Of our season record we only had 1 loss against a team that did not make the playoffs (Cedar Ridge) and our District won 3 of 4 Bi-District championships, with wins over Lake Travis, Austin Anderson, and Buda Johnson. That makes it pretty official that we are definitely in the best most competitive 6A District in Central Texas.
Area round games of note this week include Vandegrift vs SA Johnson Tuesday at Toyota Rattler Stadium, Westwood vs New Braunfels on Tuesday, and Round Rock vs SA Reagan. Another interesting matchup in Round 2 will be Leander HS vs Alamo Heights HS.
We want to be in the Playoffs next season. We absolutely have the talent and group to get us there, but it will be difficult. Too many good teams and good players in this area for it not to be. That's why this off season and summer become so important for us. We fully realize there needs to be a balance between soccer, school, club, work, social, and life. But we also realize that in order for there to be growth and improvement we must approach each day, and each training as an opportunity to improve and get better. A focused and determined approach, with great energy, and great commitment to excellence will help us achieve the C.U.L.T.U.R.E that it will take for us to reach our team and personal goals.
Let's Go Lady Rangers!
