The Week in Review
This past week saw the Lady Rangers travel to San Marcos for a Non District matchup, where the JV and Varsity were both victorious in their games.
Then Friday night the Lady Rangers hosted State Ranked Westlake in two very competitive matches. The JV Lady Rangers fell in a tightly contested game, but had a stand out performance from Sophomore Keeper Mari Pilli.
In the Varsity Match, the Lady Rangers took home the victory 2-0. Not verified but I believe it may be true, but this was the Varsity's first victory over Westlake. Not sure about in the history of the program, but can verify it's been at least 8 years since there was a victory over Westlake.
Congratulations to all the Lady Rangers who fought and fought and fought the entire 80 minutes to see out the victory. It was a great performance for our Lady Rangers and one that should propel us into District play beginning this week.

This is a change from the original schedule.
And Finally-
This is what last spring, last summer, last fall, and all pre-season has been building up to. We start our journey to winning district and making the playoffs on Tuesday. This is one of, if not the most, competitive girls soccer districts, in Texas. Yes there are some districts in Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston that are competitive but they do not have the quality and depth that our district has. Spend just a little time on Maxpreps and you will see the quality of teams our district has been playing and the results speak for themselves. There are no night's off. Every Day, Every Training, and Every Game must be approached with focus, and a commitment to compete. This Journey will be a grind. It will not be about how you feel. In fact many days you will not "feel" like grinding and working. But a desire to to win, a desire to compete, a desire to prove the doubters wrong, a desire to represent your school and do something that has not been accomplished in over a decade is what each of strives for. It's the inspiration that pushes you on those days you don't think you have it in you.
Dream It! Believe It! Achieve It!
It all starts Tuesday at Round Rock!
Let's Go Lady Rangers!
